Description
The hour being late, Hume postponed his motion (for reform of Parliament). Sharp altercation. Russell declared that he did not think the working classes cared either for the charter of Hume's plan. State of Country very tranquil. Russell believes as trade improves, agitation will subside. Lord G. Bentinck's motion for returns agreed to [in connection with Timber and Silk Duties].
