Description
Elections have so far proceeded satisfactorily. Lord Donegal wishes to have a Gold Stick. Having been in higher office he says he could not be a Lord in Waiting. Russell thinks Lord Camoys a proper person [in connection with Lords in Waiting]. The number of Roman Catholics in the Household hardly a matter to be blamed at the moment. Ibrahim Pacha dissatisfied because some of Queen Victoria's carriages were not placed at his disposal.
