DescriptionRussell says the bill [the Tenants' Eviction Bill) was disposed of easily in the Commons. [This was the consideration of the Lords' Amendments.] Russell says Cabinet thinks the Irish Franchise Bill must be given up, this Session at least, but brought forward early in the next. Cabinet feel the Bill regarding Navigation Laws must be given up this year, but with the announcement that it will be renewed early next Session.
