Description
John William, 4th Earl of Bessborough's, case hopeless. Seven of his family gone to Dublin with Mr Gore. By death of the Duke of Argyll a Green Ribbon (Order of the Thistle) becomes vacant. Russell submits the name of Lord Elgin as successor. Hume's motion for inquiry into building of ships, rejected.
