Personal correspondence in the volume includes letters from the Belgian astronomer Lambert Adolphe Quetelet, Victoria, Princess Royal and Edward, Prince of Wales and covers the deaths of George Edward Anson, the 1st Duke of Wellington and Dowager Queen Adelaide.
