DescriptionAn account taken of the experience of Charles Edward Dassett of 42 New Church Street, Portman Market, during the attempt on Queen Victoria's life. He states that he was standing near the pump in the park when he saw a boy present a pistol at the carriage wheel. He writes that he took the pistol from the boy and gave it to a policeman, but that bystanders were laughing and saying it was a hoax. Copy.
